I charge for my work as a translator and proofreader based on a per word fee. The basis for calculation is the source language text. A standard page contains around 250 to 300 words. Billing by words is a fair billing method for customers. You only pay for the words you commission. No further fees are charged. VAT of 19 percent is added to the price, if applicable.

For translation agencies from the Czech Republic, special conditions apply in accordance with our agreements.

Translation, Localization, Proofreading and Revision Fees

For translations and the localisation of websites, the price per word of the source text is EUR 0.08 net. In the European Union and in third countries, there is no 19 percent VAT. When translating into German, the source text is always shorter than the target text. This reduces your costs. Since I use the CAT tool SDL Trados Studio Freelancer (2017, 2019), you also save on text passages with repetitions.

I offer corrections (grammar, spelling and punctuation) and post-editing for EUR 0.03 net per word.

For revisions, I charge EUR 0.04 net per word.
